Job Description:Job Responsibilities:


Responsible for procuring and preparation of samples of product. Perform laboratory tests including pre- and post-analytic phases. Produce accurate and reliable data, interpret results and recommend actions if sample shows flaws. Document all activities, produce detailed reports, and insert/retrieve data. Follow methodologies in carrying out routine tasks. Adhere to correct procedures, policies and health/safety guidelines. Maintain work area and equipment.


o Handles, transports, and processes product and materials. Uses basic hand tools.

o Lifting/transporting pellet samples is required.

o Works with and around materials that may be hot, heavy or sharp, and hazardous chemicals.

o Works in various areas of the plant location. Dependent upon the area, environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.

o Required to work near large industrial equipment.


REQUIREMENTS:

o 1 year of manufacturing/industrial experience or equivalent.

o Working experience as a lab assistant/sampler

o Familiarity with automated laboratory equipment

o Computer literacy/experience with Microsoft Excel and Laboratory Information Systems

o Accuracy and close attention to detail

o Strong analytical judgment

o The position requires rotating shift work, which will include Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays.

o The position requires overtime work as needed.

o Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times. Safety is our core value which requires you to wear safety protection such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, boots with metatarsal protection, and when necessary respirator equipment.

o The position requires punctuality, consistent attendance and self direction for the success of the operations.
