Project Manager, Human Capital - Minnetonka, MN
The Project Manager, Human Capital will support a cross-functional team charged with delivery of the following: a five-year strategic plan, implementation plans, communication plans, organizational communications, business case analyses, program-level recommendations, workforce optimization, talent development, and meeting facilitation support.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing project through the lifecycle.
The candidate must also have leadership experience, leading teams directly and indirectly. It will be critical that this individual understands Human Capital and the inner dependencies of a global organization. Primary Responsibilities: Provides Project Management expertise in project planning, execution, and monitoring Oversees and manages the operational aspects of assigned projects and maintains a project management framework that facilitate successful execution of projects Maintain and analyze project schedule and prepares regular status reports for management and key stakeholders Identify and escalate project risks, opportunities and issues in order to develop resolutions to meet quality and timeline goals and objectives Lead complex projects that require cross functional coordination. Work closely with all departments to accomplish mutual goals and strategies in order to achieve company goals Lead and manage full project life cycle including creation, design, specification, development, implementation, and overall change management Set team direction, problem-solve and guide team members as needed Partner with key stakeholders to ensure projects are aligned with the goals and objectives of the business Develop, document and manage project communications among all applicable stakeholders Develop and maintains definition of project roles/responsibilities and communicate to project participants Identify, develop, and present recommendations; lead implementation of approved solutions Coordinate and facilitate meetings; prepare agendas, document notes and follow up tasks Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree 2+ years of project management experience to include projects human capital related projects/programs 2+ years of experience in tracking, planning projects, and making data driven analytical decisions 2+ years of experience defining scope, objective, formulating project plans Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint Prior experience preparing written communication and presenting and/or consulting with senior leaders Prior experience working within a large complex matrixed organization Preferred Qualifications: Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Access, Visio, SharePoint End to end business process improvement Knowledge of HR Systems and technology Prior experience managing projects through the full lifecycle Understands Human Capital and the inner dependencies of a global organization Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Demonstrated influence management skills Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects Experience maintaining project dashboards and project plan Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
