Job Summary
# Job Summary
Management may consider remotely working from one of our MnDOT districts. This position provides executive leadership to the MnDOT Operations Division, so that public policy is managed, priorities are established, and programs implemented in an integrated manner. The position is responsible for coordinating and providingguidanceto Division tactical programs and projects, and is theliaison between districts and offices to promote collaboration, communications, and transparency. As a member of the Operations Division Management Team, the position provides leadership for the Operations Division focusing on management and leadership of the division's directions and programs and assisting in the prioritization of division products and services. The position is also responsible for leadership and collaboration at a department level to move the department's strategic vision and directions forward.
The Operations Division consists of the Office of Maintenance, Office of Traffic and Safety Operations, TSMO group, the Shared Services Function and the eight MnDOT Districts, has approximately 3300 employees and numerous clientele, both internal and external.
## Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Planning, Business Administration or related field,
Three (3) years executive leadership and managerial experience at the Office Director/District Engineer (22M) or equivalent level
Five (5) years executive leadership and managerial experience at the Assistant District Engineer/Assistant Office Director (20M) or equivalent**.**

Engineering knowledge sufficient to plan, organize, direct, implement and explain complex transportation programs and policies.
Experience which demonstrates a broad understanding of the technical areas of Operations, Maintenance and Program Planning and Delivery.
Policymaking, Strategic Direction and Initiatives
Substantial knowledge of and experience with the legislative process.
Fiscal and Human Resources Management: Knowledge of fiscal and human resources needs, limitations and alternatives so that the effective use of resources is demonstrated to deliver products and services.
Demonstrated ability to enhance trust with transparency and accountability
Demonstrated ability to promote collaboration, research and innovation.
Demonstrated ability to promote diversity and cultural capital through inclusion and opportunity.
