Nutritional Dietitian (Mill City Clinic) - 8 hours/week
As the multi-specialty group practice for the faculty of the University of Minnesota Medical School, University of Minnesota Physicians has more than 950 physicians and 1,600 health professionals, providing clinical care in over 100 specialty and sub-specialty areas. Our mission is three-fold: delivering exceptional patient care, advancing medicine through research, and training the next generation of health professionals.






The Nutritional Dietitian coordinates the provision of nutrition improvement and/or therapy with other members of the health care team. As a Nutrition Consultant, the Dietitian identifies patients' nutritional risks, assesses nutrition needs according to age and disease specific requirements and develops, implements and monitors the nutrition improvement plan and outcomes of intervention. Provides nutrition education to patient, families, health care professionals and the community. Supports of the nutrition care delivery system and participation in human performance improvement and research activities.


The hours for this position are: Monday, Wednesday 1:00pm - 5:00pm




In order to qualify for this role, you must possess:



+ College graduate with a B.S. in Nutrition and / or Dietetics or closely related field. American Dietetic Association Registered or registry eligible, ADA registration within 90 days, MN State Licensure within 6 months of hire.


+ Nutrition Care Planning Skills. Medical nutrition therapy skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to multi-task on an ongoing basis. Good organization and prioritization skills. Continuous education in related clinical/nutrition areas.


+ One plus year as a clinical dietitian on non-specialty practice areas. One to two years of position related experience in nutrition improvement


+ Relationship Builder, Superior Patient Advocate, Committed to being an Effective Systems User, Self-Motivated Problem Solver, Continuous Improver and Technically Advanced in Job Role.





Preferred Qualifications:



+ Two to five years of experience as a dietitian or nutrition consultant


+ Master's Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics or closely related field


+ Strong Computer and analytical skills strongly preferred.
