# Job Summary
This Seasonal, Part-Time (appx. 60%) position is located at Moose Lake State Park, near Moose Lake, MN. The anticipated season dates are approximately May 25th through September 2nd, each year. Days and hours of work will vary, but will generally be from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Friday through Sunday.
These positions perform a variety of tasks involved in routine operations and maintenance of a state park.
*Responsibilities include:*
1. Greet Park Visitors and provide basic information to visitors and callers (e.g., provide map of park and directions to camp site; answer routine questions).
2. Perform routine cleaning tasks (e.g. wash windows, floors, walls, ceilings, toilets, fixtures, etc.)
3. Perform routine grounds maintenance (e.g., mow and trim grass and weeds; rake; plant seeds, trees, and shrubs; cut or remove weeds; prune tree branches and shrubs; remove brush and hazardous trees).
4. Collect and dispose of litter and other waste products (e.g. pick up trash; empty garbage cans; clean ashes from fire rings).
5. Load, unload and deliver supplies, equipment, firewood and other materials.
6. Paint facilities and other structures (e.g. buildings, walls, doors, picnic tables, signs, posts, etc.
## Minimum Qualifications:
* Ability to effectively communicate with the public and other employees.
* Ability to comprehend and follow simple oral and written instructions.
* Ability to operate a phone, computer, cash register and other small equipment.
* Arithmetic skills sufficient to accurately collect money from the public for various fees.
* Ability to use various cleaning supplies.
* Ability to perform the physical activities involved in grounds maintenance work in all weather conditions, including bending, lifting, carrying, and walking on uneven terrain.
## Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of Minnesota State Park rules and facilities.
* Experience with building/facility maintenance and cleaning.
## Physical Requirements
Requires occasionally lifting articles such as 50-pound bags or boxes maximum and frequently lifting and/or carrying objects such as heavy tools and file boxes. This job may require walking or standing to a significant degree on rough terrain or may involve sitting most of the time with pushing and pulling of arm and/or leg controls.
## Additional Requirements
*This position requires an unrestricted Class D Driver's License with a clear driving record*
