Job Summary
# Job Summary
**This posting will fill one (1) permanent part time, rotating (AM/PM/Weekends) vacancy.**
Minnesota State Operated Community Services (MSOCS) vocational programs offer customized employment training and individualized community job placements for individuals with developmental disabilities or related conditions. The role of the Work Therapy Technician is to provide support services to help each person enhance and develop skills, as well as increase their independence.
**Job Duties:**
* Assist in the design and implementation of training, habilitation, and vocational programs.
* Implement services at the program site or in community settings and act as a liaison/job coach between local business and program participants.
* Provide vocational services to facilitate each individual's positive interaction and integration with people, providers, and merchants in the community.
* Document supported person's activities, progress, and medical care by recording, summarizing and maintaining data in standard forms and reports.
* Participate in state-of-the-art training, workshops, and scheduled in-services to ensure the delivery of quality services and pursue ideas for enhancing current vocational services.
* Promote coordination and cooperation with co-workers and customers.
* Assist work sites to meet Department of Labor, MN State licensing, and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards.
## Minimum Qualifications
* One year of experience implementing training programs for individuals who have a developmental disability, mental illness, chemical dependency, and/or physical disability.
* Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
