Analytic Research Associate - Eden Prairie, MN

Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) Analytic Research Associates in OptumInsight, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), provide analytic support for the analysts and researchers within HEOR. Associates will be involved in all aspects of research activities contracted by HEOR. They will assist in the creation of analytic datasets for both administrative claims based studies and prospective survey research studies. Associates will be expected to write their own analytic programs (in SAS, Stata, etc.) to carry out data verification. Associates will also have the opportunity to conduct descriptive statistic analyses and learn advanced statistical methodologies from senior staff members. Primary Responsibilities: Assist with the implementation of studies under the direction of senior staff Conduct descriptive statistical analysis Assist in maintaining project documentation and files Review, track, and manage study documents for completeness and accuracy Assist with data management and analysis activities for survey research projects Participate in analytic data set creation for administrative claims data base studies Write analytic programs to verify the creation of analytic data sets Assist with preparation of final reports, manuscripts, posters and presentations Learn new statistical and/or programming software and techniques Develop skills geared toward advancing to more senior roles within the group Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Biostatistics, Mathematics, Physics, Quantitative Social Science, Theoretical Physics, Quantitative Social Sciences, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Sciences, Information Systems, or relevant degree Experience working with primary or secondary data Established ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Established ability to work independently and as part of a team Established ability to work on multiple tasks Established ability to self-teach programming languages and applications Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Microsoft Azure or AWS Experience with Microsoft Access and knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications Careers with Optum.
